Ingredients:
- 40 nettle tops (preferably from young plants)
- 1 kg of sugar
- 3 l of water
- 5 lemons
When you harvest the nettle you need to be careful and only pick the nettle top and the three leaves under it. Make sure not to harvest the entire plant.
When you harvest a desired amount of nettle, clean it well numerous times. Wash the lemon first, cut it into pieces and add it to a container filled with cold water. Add the nettle next.
Cover the container and leave it at room temperature for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, stir and add the sugar. Stir for a longer period of time until the sugar is dissolved completely. Your mixture is ready! Place it in jars, close it well and store it in the refrigerator.
Drink it instead of water and the time for consuming it is not limited. You can drink until there is nettle to gather, and nettles and can be dried for winter use.
